We are looking for a creative developer to join our five-strong team in Shoreditch, London. Under the guidance of our senior developers, you will build and maintain component-based web applications using Nuxt, translating design concepts into high-quality, production-ready code. As a vital member of our small team, you will collaborate closely with developers, designers, and project managers to ensure seamless delivery of design-focused, user-centric projects.

While the core focus of this role is front-end development, you may occasionally explore related areas to expand your skill set and help meet diverse client needs.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including modern features and best practices.
  • Experience with at least one front-end framework (e.g., Vue, React).
  • Experience translating UI designs into maintainable, production-ready code.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards, performance optimisation, and SEO best practices.
  • Experience consuming data from GraphQL or REST APIs.
  • Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., GitHub, Bitbucket).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with front-end technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and deliver component-based web applications using Nuxt.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimise applications for performance and scalability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that aligns with industry standards.
  • Identify and resolve front-end issues during development and in production.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with build tools (e.g., Vite, Rollup).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines or platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, Vercel).
  • Experience writing and maintaining unit or integration tests (e.g., Vitest, Jest).
  • Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less).
  • Familiarity with TypeScript for enhanced code maintainability and type safety.
  • Experience documenting code and processes.
  • Experience with branching strategies and code reviews in Git-based workflows.
  • Familiarity with managing environment variables and build-time configurations.

Benefits

  • Workplace pension contributions of up to 4%.
  • 20 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, with additional time off over Christmas.
  • Strong commitment to work-life balance; no expectation of overtime.
  • Support for mental health, including duvet days for rest or remote work.
  • Cycle-to-work scheme for tax-efficient bike and equipment purchases.
  • Weekly team lunches.
